Working at Bonita Park
There are a variety of ways to be involved in the ministry of Bonita Park. We have summer staff, retreat season staff, as well as part-time and full-time year-round staff positions. Check below for a more detailed description of the different staffing opportunities at Bonita Park.
Summer Staff/internship
As a Summer Staff at Bonita Park, you will be trained to help guests overcome their fears, gain self-confidence, and create lasting memories while you grow as a servant. This occurs through daily work including: Zipline, Rock Wall, Housekeeping, Campfires, Hikes, Challenge Courses, General Grounds Maintenance, Archery Tag, and more. Through working in these areas you will gain a sense of teamwork, a servant’s heart, new skills and lifetime hobbies. You will work hard and play even harder at Bonita Park!
In addition to wages, you are also provided free housing and great camp meals. We are not a programmed camp, you are not required to stay in the dorms with campers, so your average work week is 40 hours. If you do work more, overtime is paid. If your college or university offers an internship program, Bonita Park is willing to work with your adviser to meet those requirements.
Summer staff typically work from mid-May to mid-August.
Retreat Season Staff
Retreat Season staff is an unique experience here where you will interact with guests, and work with a tight-nit smaller group of staff. Retreat Season staff will learn and work in much the same capacity as Summer staff, but will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of camp ministry in a more extensive way than is possible during the summer.
Retreat Season staff are hired for a single season of ministry and usually work from mid-August to mid-May. Most Retreat Season staff choose to stay on as Summer Staff as well.
Current Full Time Job Openings
